it's interesting how the two more violent albums
(broken and tds) have these little quiet songs in them. i think this one is
here to break up the violent stream so that happiness in slavery has more
impact. if h.i.s. came right after last, it would lose some of its power,
being a violent song that comes right after... another violent song.

I think this song represents the eye of the storm the deceptive calm in a violent torrent of rage. It sort of provides a
buffer between two very powerful angry songs and creates the illusion of safety amidst viciousness. Without this subtle
timeout period the impact of the other songs would be lost.
